Dolefil Promotes Chemical Free Sanitizing Agent In IQF Process Pack
In support of Dole’s Promise of going into a sustainable green technology, Dolefil’s Product Development and Innovation Team experimented and succeeded in a pilot phase of sanitizing dipping process of pineapple segments in Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) production line on March 2022. Months and days of labor trials were done in order to come up with the sanitizer’s nigh concentration and time to give the right results of pineapple segments meeting the standard specification in terms of physicochemical properties, descriptive analysis, and microbial characteristics.
The new green technology offers a chemical-free sanitizing agent wherein the main potable water is fed to the skid equipment and comes out as “active water” sanitizing agent used for dipping treatment of cut pineapple segments.
This breakthrough technology can give health benefits to the consumer of the IQF pineapple segments market. The pilot phase was successful, thereby, following the next phase which is the commercial phase
