Dolefil Implements “5S FRIDAYS”

With the goal to make 5S a lifestyle habit, Dole Philippines, Inc. (Dolefil) has implemented 5S Fridays beginning February 17,2023, in its operations.  The 5S is defined as a methodology that results in a workplace that is clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized to help reduce waste and optimize productivity. 5S is comprised of Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. It’s designed to help build a quality work environment, both physically and mentally.

With the implementation of 5S Fridays, employees are expected to implement 5S in their respective areas on Fridays from 3:00 PM onwards – every Friday focuses one S from 5S. Aside from workplace benefits, studies show a well-organized desk also has some psychological perks. These includes: Improved mental stability; Increased productivity; Improved focus; and Reduced stress.
