Iowa State University Benchmarks Dolefil
The Faculty and Graduate Students of Iowa State University conducted a benchmarking activity in Dolefil on March 11, 2023. The purpose of the visit was for the faculty and students to have an overview of Dolefil’s vertically integrated food processing facility and how the Company produces its products from farms to industrial operations to market. To start off their visit, a company overview was presented by Jeremiah Diana, Communications Superintendent. Right after the company overview presentation, guests from Iowa State University underwent an Agriculture Tour led by Milky Murillo, Agriculture Sr. Manager, Charlie Yson, Agriculture Manager, Christopher Articulo, Harvesting Manager, and Earl Resurrecion, Farm Superintendent. The team has witnessed Dolefil’s planting activities and harvesting in which they were given the opportunity to taste Dolefil’s sweet pineapples.
Additionally, Dolefil ensured that the faculty and students understood that Dolefil’s operations is way beyond being profit oriented but being a purpose-driven company committed in fulfilling the Dole Promises and spread Sunshine For All. With that, the guests had an opportunity to participate with Dolefil’s corporate social responsibility programs through a tree growing activity led by Community Relations Specialists Erwin Balogo and Johnlee Seniedo in partnership with Mahintana Foundation, Inc. After the quick visit, the visitors had their meals in Club Kalsangi.
The benchmarking activity was made possible through the Industrial Project Engineering led by Joe Mari Vallejo. According to Prof. Henrik Sternberg, “It was truly amazing to see how “Sunshine For All” is put into practice by Dole. Thank you so much to Dolefil who gave us an educational memory for life”.
